INTERNSHIPS

BOG internships are very flexible! Work with us to create an internship that gives you the experience that YOU want! While the BOG does not currently have the funding to pay any of its team members, UC Davis will grant academic credit or transcript notation.

Internships have included (but are not limited to):
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Coordinate with students, staff, and faculty, source materials for the orchard and gardens, and ensure that things run smoothly! Those who are action-minded, hardworking, with a strong sense of dedication and integrity are perfect for the position. With this internship, you have the opportunity to be a leader of your campus community!
LANDSCAPE DESIGN &
ARCHITECTURE
Design and implement site elements such as walls and stairs, create planting plans and irrigation plans, and ensure that the site is enjoyable for all! With this internship, you have the opportunity to see your creative ideas brought to reality!
BOTANICAL RESEARCH
Research the plant varieties that will be planted in our orchard, South African, Australian, Chilean, Mediterranean, and California Native plots. Compile fun facts to be used for signage and help us keep our plants healthy! With this internship, you have the opportunity to work closely with the conservatory and become a plant expert!
ADOPT-A-TREE
Adopt your very own tree! Choose from one of the 44 tiny fruit trees in the orchard, and check in with it on a weekly basis to monitor its health and log data. This internship is a good taste of citizen science, and the perfect flexible option for those who want a lower commitment!
